To Whom It May Concern,
On Sunday, November 27, 2011 (Saigon time), there were a group of young Vietnamese men and women gathered at the park near Our Lady Cathedral intended to play soccer, wearing logo of “No-U” (a symbol of anti-U-line claimed by China). Immediately, all kinds of Vietnamese police forces broke in and took these young people to Ben Nghe Police Headquarter. Among these patriotic people are bloggers An Do Nguyen, Yeu Nuoc Viet , Vô Thường , Vinh Lê , Lee Nguyen, Linh Phan and Bui Hang.
Until now, it has been passed 2 AM in Saigon, the government of Vietnam still did not notify their families of the reasons why they were being kept inside of the Police Headquarter and interrogated. The families and friends are very concerned for their safety.
We urge you to pressure the government of Vietnam to release these patriotic young men and women immediately . Vietnamese citizens are entitled to their rights of expressions, according to Vietnam Constitution and international laws .
Thank you very much for your attention and support .
Respectfully,
Blogger Phong Lan and friends .
